Dear Friends and Rotarians,

I am delighted to have this opportunity to address you as the new President of the White River Junction Rotary. It is an honor to lead this remarkable organization as we embark on our 100 year anniversary and a shared mission to curb food insecurity and build a hunger-free Upper Valley. Together, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families facing the daunting challenge of limited access to nutritious food.

Food insecurity is a complex issue that affects countless individuals in our community. It knows no boundaries and can impact anyone, regardless of their background or circumstances. The White River Junction Rotary firmly believes that no one should have to go to bed hungry, and it is our responsibility to take action.

Our vision is clear: to create a community where every individual has access to healthy and nourishing food. We are committed to addressing the root causes of food insecurity, promoting sustainable food systems, and providing essential support to those in need. By collaborating with local organizations, businesses, and individuals like you, we can amplify our impact and work towards a hunger-free future.

To achieve our vision, we will focus on several key areas. First and foremost, we will strive to raise awareness about the pervasive issue of food insecurity and the profound effects it has on individuals and families. By fostering empathy and understanding, we can mobilize our community to take action and make a lasting difference.

Additionally, we will actively engage in partnerships and collaborations with local food banks, community gardens, and other organizations that share our commitment to ending hunger. Through joint efforts, we can develop innovative solutions, leverage resources, and implement sustainable initiatives that address both immediate needs and long-term food security challenges.

As the new President of the White River Junction Rotary, I am committed to championing these efforts and working closely with our dedicated members and community partners. Together, we can make a tangible impact on food insecurity in the Upper Valley and create a brighter future for all.

I invite you to join us in this important endeavor. Whether you choose to volunteer your time, make a financial contribution, or share your expertise, your support is invaluable. Together, we can bring about positive change and ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.

Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to working alongside you in pursuit of our vision.

Yours in service,

Joe Major President, White River Junction Rotary
