Program chair, David F., introduced speakers Jenny McKenna and Cory Waletzko of the Waldorf School in Quechee. They explained the Waldorf education model of head, hearts, and hands. In 2007, they began a program of "Knighthood", a rite of passage for the 6th grade students. Each student is issued a "squire's challenge", which begins just before Christmas break. This challenge includes at least 20 hours of community service and finding a sponsor to assist them through the program. They must design a family crest. Students take a vow of silence through the ceremony until the tournament the next day. This tournament is a quest involving the head, heart, and hands model. At the end of the ceremony, the 6th graders are welcomed by parents, alumni, and sponsors. The program also covers the seven virtures of knighthood, which are: honesty, compassion, service, peace, patience, wisdom, and love. This ceremony is at the end of the school year. All are in costume and the squires are sequestered until the ceremony. All are asked what they seek, an oath is administered, and all begin their period of silence. The following day, the tournament begins.

Following the presentation, President Nico presented Cory and Jennifer a check from the White River Rotary in support of the Knighthood program.

Nico lead The Four Way Test and the Rotary Motto.

A changing of the Gavel from Nico to Nico and an Awards Program need to be scheduled.

Membership/PR Committee will be making announcements and asking for all Rotarians to commit to helping grow our club.
