Five Avenues of Service - International Service

The White River Rotary has supported two International Scholars in the recent past. Previously the  Club has sponsored many International Scholars. The outbound student was in India. The inbound student was from Japan.

The Rotary Club of White River Junction, USA supports a literature project in South Africa supported by our Twin Club the Rotary Club of White River, South Africa. The project, Books in Homes, provides books written in the many languages used in South Africa to teach beginning reading to the children. Also, they provide bags of books to homes that have no reading materials in them. In addition they distribute these packages of books in South Africa and other countries that request help in promoting literacy in their population.
